Jairo Alvarado

As a boy growing up in Los Angeles, you could often find me inside a movie theater. Wide-eyed and spellbound, I fell in love with storytelling by watching movies like JURASSIC PARK and GHOST IN THE SHELL. I felt then that I was missing the cultural influences in my life in the images I was seeing, but I related to the characters and their journeys nevertheless. As my love for storytelling developed, so did my admiration for auteurs and their ability to galvanize people around a unique vision.

It takes guts, courage and commitment to have a bold point of view as a storyteller -  I love that I get to be a part of this journey and to help shape how we relate to one another.
